The 24-week program is designed to help individuals manage emotional regulation issues, including emotions, relationships, impulsivity, self-harm, suicidal behaviours, and substance abuse.
Modes of Therapy:
Individual Treatment:
– Personalised application of skills from group sessions.
– Confidential space to discuss progress and maintain motivation.
Telephone Coaching:
– Allows clients to contact therapists between sessions.
– Supports the application of new skills in daily life.
Group Skills Training:
– Held in groups of 7-10 adults by DBT-trained psychologists.
– Follows Dr. Marsha Linehan’s DBT format, covering:
– Mindfulness
– Distress Tolerance
– Emotion Regulation
– Interpersonal Effectiveness

Duration: 24 weeks
Session Time: Tuesdays, 6:30 – 8:45 PM (includes a 15-minute break)

Medicare Rebate: Eligibility assessment by GPs and psychiatrists can cover $22.90 for up to 10 group sessions under a Mental Health Care Plan.
