An exciting new initiative, it is an intertactive tool that provides a current snapshot of the specific characteristics of young people. it provides immediate feedback on their wellbeing and delivers avenues for direct intervention and ongoing support. Hot Topics

Thank you to all those who have attended our Wednesday Night Hot Topic seminars this year. They will continue in 2014, starting Wednesday 12 February. In Term 1 we will be covering subjects such as 

  • Transitioning to retirement
  • Depression
  • Child anxiety
  • Hoarding

Upcoming Programs

Our resilience building programs for children and adolescents are becoming so popular that they are often filled before they are advertised on our website. Both  the Connect 3 and Link3d Up programs below are currently full, but you can register your interest in a program, as we do keep waiting lists in case of cancellations and will give you advance notice of the next program dates.

28 January Bright Thinking, Tuesdays 4 - 5 pm. A 6 week program to help children 8 - 12 years learn a more optimistic style of thinking. It is particularly suited to children experiencing anxious thinking.  For more details click here. Several places still available.
29 January Link3d Up, Wednesdays 4.30 - 6pm. This 5 week resilience building program, for adolescents 13 - 16 years, is based on the Resilience Doughnut model and is designed to teach resilience skills vital for the teenage years.   For more information click here
3 February Keeping Love Alive, Mondays 7 - 8.30pm. A 5 week relationship program for couples facilitated by Clinical Psychologist, Lyn Worsley. This program is for people who want solutions to their relationship dilemmas. It won't drag participants into the past but will offer a blueprint for handling conflict constructively. 1 March Connect 3, Saturdays 9 - 10.30am.  A 5 week resilience building program for 8 - 12 year olds which aims to improve confidence and social skills so they can cope in challenging situations.  For more details click here

Workshops at the Resilience Centre

10 & 11 March Child & Adolescent Accredited Training
17 & 18 March Adult Accredited Training
Both these 2 day workshops are for practitioners and professionals who wish to gain a greater depthof understanding of the Resilience Doughnut model and how to use it in a range of settings with children/ adolescents or adults. More details here 

12 March Advanced Training - Connect 3 / Link3d Up Group Programs 
If you have completed the Resilience Doughnut Accredited Training (see above) and would like to run the Connect 3 and Link3d Up resilience building programs for children and teenagers, this 1 day workshop will allow you to advertise and facilitate the program in your local community.
