Hot Topics 2013

Our popular Hot Topic series of evening seminars will continue here at the Resilience Centre, Epping in 2013. Each Wednesday fortnight one of our Alpha Psychologists addresses and provides insights into a challenging life issue.
The topics for Term 1 will be: 

  • 6 February  Defeating Depression - How to support family & friends experiencing depression.

  • 20 February  Mindfulness Skills Presenter: Gabriel Wong
  • 6 March  Surviving a Stressful Workplace  Presenter: Mitchell Brown
  • 20 March  I Just Want My Child to be Happy at School

  • 3 April  Raising Kids that Cope  Presenter: Ruth Fordyce

Upcoming Programs 2013

4 February Keeping Love Alive® - a 5 week relationship program for couples facilitated by Clinical Psychologist, Lyn Worsley. This program is for people who want solutions to their relationship dilemmas. It won't drag participants into the past but will offer a blueprint for handling conflict constructively. 25 February  Connect 3 - a 5 week resilience building program for 8 - 12 year olds which aims to improve confidence and social skills so they can cope in challenging situations.  For more details click here
26 February  Above the Line - this 4 week program is for adults aiming for success in any area of their life or who have difficulties maintaining their optimism through anxious thinking. For more information click here
27 February  Bright Thinking - a 6 week program to help children 8 - 12 years learn a more optimistic style of thinking. It is particularly suited to children experiencing anxious thinking.  For more details click here.

Workshops at the Resilience Centre

A one day workshop on Effective Communications & Dealing with Difficult People  will be facilitated by Kylie Warry in February.  Details will be available at www.theresiliencecentre.com.au soon or email kylie@teamology.com.au. 

Advanced Accredited Training - 18 February.  If you have completed the Resilience Doughnut Accredited Training and would like to be able to facilitate the Connect 3 and Link3d Up resilience building programs for children and teenagers, this one day training workshop will allow you to advertise and facilitate the program in your local community. Resilience Doughnut Accredited Training 11 & 12 March. Attending this 2 day workshop will equip you with the skills and resources to implement the Resilience Doughnut  in your school, organization or counselling practice. Click here
