We enter spring with an array of seminars and programs to help you grow. 

Hot Topics

Held every second  Wednesday 7 - 8.30 pm these informal seminars provide psychological insights into challenging life issues.  Designed for the general community, they are proving very popular.

Our very interesting topics for Term 4 are:
  • 10 October Living Creative - Understanding creative people
  • 24 October  - Tips for the Teenage Tightrope - Help your child navigate and negotiate the adolescent years
  • 7 November - Winners are Grinners. Or are they? - How to identify and help someone with a gambling problem
  • 21 November - Staying Married - Negotiating the challenges in relationships
  • 5 December - Emotional Eating - Developing a healthier relationship with food

From the first week of Term 4 we will run some of our most popular group programs, each one running for several weeks: 

  • 11 October - Weigh UP Life - explores the psychology of weight loss and emotional eating. Click here 
  • 13 October - Connect 3 - a resilience building program for 8 - 12 year olds.  Click here 
  • 13 October - Link3d Up - a resilience building program for adolescents. Click here 
  • 15 October - Bright Thinking - to help children (8 -12 years) learn a more optimistic style of thinking. Click here 
  • 30 October - Above the Line - to help adults recognize the barriers stopping them from achieving.  Click here  

Workshops at the Resilience Centre

Tools of Trade – 12 September. Counsellors, teachers, youth workers and psychologists this is your last chance to book into this one day workshop presented by Russell Deal from St Luke’s Resources. http://www.innovativeresources.org. He will demonstrate practical, creative resources showing how they may be adapted and used to build communication and relationships with others. Click here

Advanced Accredited Training – Connect 3 – 24 October. This one day training workshop will skill participants in using the Connect 3 and Link3d UP group programs for young people.
Attendees can then advertise and facilitate the program in their local communities. Click

Resilience Doughnut Accredited Training – 12 & 13 November (New Zealand) and 19 & 20 November (Sydney).  Practitioners who attend this course will gain a greater depth of understanding in the Resilience Doughnut model and how to use it in a range of settings.  Click here
