Our "HOT TOPIC" series kicked off on 25th July with" BEATING THE BLUES - Helping someone you love with depression". It was a wonderful success, proving so popular we hope to repeat this topic later in the year.
August will be a very busy month for us with more new programs commencing and the launch of Lyn's new book, The Resilience Doughnut - The Secret of Strong Adults.

Hot Topics

Our HOT TOPICS continue every second Wednesday from 7 - 8.30pm here at the Resilience Centre. These informal evening seminars are designed for the general community to provide psychological insights into challenging life issues. The remaining topics for Term 3 are:

  • 8 August  Resilient Mums - Adjusting to life with a new baby
  • 22 August  Fighting Fear - Overcoming anxious thinking
  • 5 September  MAAD - Managing angry adolescents differently
  • 19 September  Kindergarten - Ready? Steady?? Go??? Is your child ready for school?

Workshops at the Resilience Centre

Understanding Problem Gambling - 11th August.  This Saturday afternoon workshop will be facilitated by psychologist, Mitchell Brown. Click here

The Secret of Strong Adults - 22nd August. In conjunction with the launch of Lyn Worsley's new book, The Secret of Strong Adults, Lyn will facilitate a one day training workshop for professionals who wish to gain a greater depth of understanding of the Resilience Doughnut model for adults and how to use it in a range of settings. Tools of Trade - 12th September. School Counsellors, teachers, youth workers and psychologists should not miss this one day workshop presented by Russell Deal from St Luke’s Resources. He will demonstrate practical, creative resources to further your own practice. Register here
