This program is based on the Resilience Doughnut model of building resilience. Children will learn about personal strengths, resilient thinking skills and connecting with others and will put this into action with a creative project. It aims to improve confidence and social skills, is solution focused and works to improve mental resilience so kids can cope in challenging situations.
The program runs for 5 weeks with a follow up session 6 weeks later and also provides you and your child with complimentary access to the Resilience Report, an online measure of your child's resilience. To read more about the Resilience Doughnut go to www.theresiliencedoughnut.com.au .
See the excellent article about our Connect 3 group program in the Sun Herald on 16 June,2013, "Psychologists say it's vital children are taught to face harsh realities".
